"The apostate consciousness has no foundation for knowing truth - any truth. The Christian on the other hand, on the basis of God's revelation in the Bible, is the sole possessor of the intellectual resources necessary to make sense out of any field of human endeavor - history, psychology, mathematics, ethics, physics, economics, biology, philosophy, or anything else. Recent intellectual history emphatically confirms this: having rejected the self-authenticating revelation of the triune God who created man and everything man investigates, the unbelieving world has rapidly degenerated into a position of absolute skepticism and epistemological despair. It is thus one of the most infamous outrages against the Biblical system of truth that the majority of professing Christians joyfully hand their children - the most precious gift they have from God, after their own salvation - over to the enemies of God for their education - the most gravely serious responsibiliity God has given them. Universal education was first sought and achieved in Christian cultures primarily for the purpose of instructing children in the doctrines of the Christian religion. Similarly, the system of compulsory, monopolistic public education in the United States has one goal: to indoctrinate American children into the religion of secular humanism. For well over one hundred years, American public schools have been the established church of the most organized and determined enemies of the Christian religion in Western society. Christian parents, who would not dream of sending their young children to a Muslim mosque for one hour on Sunday morning, send them instead, for eight hours a day, five days a week, year after year, to the established church of the secular humanists: American public schools." - Benjamin C. Richards
